ABOUT
Newton Gateway is a new development which will be a key driver in the regeneration of the Newton area.
This development is bringing a disused site into purposeful use, providing new serviced sites of varying sizes for both new and existing businesses in the Western Isles.

Newton Gateway offers a great deal of new opportunities for business in the Outer Hebrides, as there is currently a lack of quality business accommodation in the Outer Hebrides to meet the demand. This development will form a robust commercial zone, facilitating necessary growth for existing businesses along with providing opportunities for new businesses.
Our aim is to create a business ‘neighbourhood’ within Stornoway with a strong sense of place, integrating and injecting new life into the surrounding area. Each site can be tailored to suit individual businesses needs be they large or small.
The development is in a prime location in close proximity to the sea and air ports, with direct access to the main arterial roads of the island.

The project has also received grant funding from Scottish Government under the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund scheme which is administered locally by Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar.
THE DEVELOPMENT
The development will be divided into serviced plots of varying sizes, ready to occupy and build on, to suit a wide range of businesses. Plots would range from large to smaller plots.
At this stage of the development, it is still possible to be flexible with the site sizes. For instance sites could be combined to create larger sites able to accommodate larger buildings etc, depending on what suits your needs.
Similarly there is also different options available in terms of development and letting arrangements. Sites can be taken as serviced plots for ground rent, or potentially with the site developed for you as a turn-key solution.
